Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Kompora website, the waitlist, and the public knowledge base. By using the site, you agree to them. Please read them carefully, especially the parts about what Kompora is, and is not.
01Acceptance
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
02What Kompora is
Kompora is a software platform that helps founders of Indian private limited companies understand their own company records, documents, and compliance context. The product includes a company workspace (documents, profile, gap detection, and compliance context), a waitlist, and a free public knowledge base. Kompora is not a filing agency.
03What Kompora is not
This is important.
- Kompora is not a law firm, a chartered accountancy firm, or a company secretarial firm.
- Nothing on the site is legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice, and using the site does not create any professional or fiduciary relationship.
- Where the law requires a licensed CA, CS, or advocate to act or sign, that professional, and not Kompora, is responsible for that work.
Always confirm important decisions with a qualified professional before acting.
04Accuracy of content
We work hard to keep our knowledge base accurate, verified, and cited, and to note when rules vary by state or by authorized capital. Even so, laws, fees, and forms change, and content may contain errors or become out of date. Content is provided on an “as is” basis for general information, and you rely on it at your own discretion.
05The waitlist
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to Kompora, a particular launch date, pricing, or feature set. We may onboard users in batches, change our plans, or decline to provide the service, at our discretion.
06Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or to break any law.
- Attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
- Scrape, copy, or republish the knowledge base at scale without our written permission.
- Submit false information or someone else’s data without consent.
07Intellectual property
The Kompora name, logo, design, and the content we create are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the site for its intended purpose. All other rights are reserved.
08Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is complete or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kompora and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the site or its content.
09Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites and official sources. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Following such links is at your own risk.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Kompora evolves. When we do, we will change the date above. Your continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of the site.
